Post 200.

WordPress tells me this is my 200th post. This is after I looked at the calendar and realized it’s been more than week since I last posted here, so I thought I’d bring everyone back into the loop on some things. I wish I had something more monumental with which to celebrate post #200, but alas, all I have are updates.

First and foremost, we’re behind schedule with ALT 2.0. I’m afraid real world responsibilities, health issues, or matters of sleep deprivation must be addressed before the book. Between my editor and I, we’ve covered the gamut of all the above. Amelia and I had nice talk last night regarding short-term progress, and she expects to send the final batch of pages today. Meanwhile, she will start going over what I’ve revised per her previous edits.

Last week a co-worker of mine came down with a case of the shingles. I unwittingly carried it home to Erica, who now has the same affliction. She’s currently waiting for it to run its course. In her words, “I hate everything.”

In the next couple of weeks I’ll be posting select snippets from ALT 2.0 for my Kickstarter backers, so if you’re one of those lucky folks, keep an eye on your inbox.

I’m afraid there’s not much else to report. Well, there is, but it’s a secret for now. More on that later.

So, now I’ve checked in with you. Now it’s your turn. What’s up, folks? Talk to me.

  1. Well I’m sorry to hear that Todd, I’ve never seen anyone with a case of the shingles in my life so I can only think of how bad it must be. Still I hope your wife gets better and that you will be able to finish editing soon so you can take a break.

As for me well, I’m back in school. Currently I’m reading On the Road by Jack Kerouac and it’s a pretty cool novel. I am ticked that NWM (national writing month)is coming soon (in November) and since I am going to be busy with school I will have to skip it again this year.

Anyways, no need to hear from me, just take care of yourself and take your time with the edits.

    Later,

    Matthew
