On we march.

Good evening, everyone. Just checking in here with updates:

Grateful Little Things

I just wanted to take a quick moment out of my day to thank those of you who’ve come to Erica’s rescue this week. Whether it’s with simple well-wishes, suggestions for alternative venues, or even placing custom Alchemy orders, I am thankful for the support you’ve shown her. She’s smiled more this week than last, and for that, I am eternally in your debt.

That being said, if you’ve ever ordered something from her on Etsy but have not left feedback, please go do so. At this point it appears that’s what’s holding everything up. More positive hits will push her over the minimum threshold.

While things with Etsy are not resolved, there is progress, and the faceless company I railed against last weekend has proven it does have a human side. I can’t say I agree with their policies, but they are working with Erica on the matter, and that’s far more than I expected would happen. I’ll keep everyone posted here once there are new developments.

Submergence

I’m taking the evening off from edits, as I’ve been at it all week. Earlier this week I wrote to my Kickstarter backers that, by the end, I estimate I’ll have re-written about 50% of ALT. It’s going to be a bit leaner, more developed, and more fluid. I can’t really justify calling this a “second” edition anymore. It’s become a “definitive” edition, far beyond the original.

To date, I’ve secured a couple of spare domain names, finalized some business documents, and registered a block of ISBNs. The stage is set. Now I just need to finish the book (again).

That’s all I’ve got for now, folks. I’ll write here again when there’s more to say.
